WUT?!?   A SUNNY DAY!!   IN OHIO?!!??  W00T!!

It was another rainy, gloomy, dismal, damp, gray, rainy week. Wednesday we set the record for the wettest year ever here in NE Ohio, and we still have over two months left in the year! But after 5 days of almost non-stop rain, the !SUN! came out yesterday and today!!

So I took the camera out for a walk this afternoon. Saw several of my neighbors...the little furry ones, that is.

They know what time of year it is, and they know what's coming one of these days. We've had a few nights down around 40F / 4C, and we've normally had our first frost about now, but the local forecast says it may be a week or two away yet. These little guys were extremely busy gathering groceries for what we are told will be one of our worst winters ever for the Great Lakes region.

While I stood quietly by these trees for a few minutes, I probably saw at least a dozen squirrels scampering through the leaves, across picnic tables, up and down the trees, leaping from branch to branch. They didn't seem to mind my presence, as I think they're used to people; this is a popular public park after all.
